The highlight of the alumni year in Oxford is the Gaudy, which this year falls on Saturday 15th September. Meet up with old friends and new to enjoy a topical seminar followed by the sumptuous gaudy dinner. We are delighted to announce that this year’s after-dinner speaker will be our Bynum Tudor Fellow, Lord Bilimoria. To make your visit even more memorable, the Gaudy coincides with the University’s annual ‘Meeting Minds’ alumni weekend. This extraordinary event offers a wealth of lectures, tours and social activities covering every part of the University. Whether you want to learn about the latest discoveries in physics or investigate a hidden gem of the Ashmolean, there is something for everyone. Kellogg Bynum Tudor Fellow Lord Bilimoria CBE, the Founder and Chairman of Cobra Beer and Chancellor of the University of Birmingham, will speak on Building a global beer brand from scratch: Boldness in Business.
16 June 2018: Summer Ball
Prepare yourself for The Garden of Earthly Delights. Free yourself on the dance floor, indulge in fanciful treats and potions, or stroll through the garden – where nothing is as it seems. The evening will culminate in a silent disco, bringing you to your own musical nirvana as you dance into the early hours of the morning.
23 June 2018: Summer Garden Party
Invite your family and friends to see the Kellogg gardens at their best on this midsummer afternoon. Enjoy a barbecue to the mellow sounds of the Jazz Collective. Children will be kept busy with face painting, balloon modelling, a circus skills workshop and the Monkey Madness Show.
14–16 September 2018: The Kellogg Gaudy and Alumni Weekend in Oxford
This hugely popular weekend of events is a whirlwind of lectures, tours and social events. In particular, be sure to join us for a lecture on the subject of Healthy Places, Smart Cities? followed by the Gaudy Dinner on Saturday 15th September. 6 December 2018: The Varsity Rugby Matches at Twickenham
To add to the interest, Kellogg student and former Heineken Cup winner Dom Waldouck (MSc Sustainable Urban Development) has been elected as the University’s Rugby Captain for 2018. Further information is available on the Varsity Match website.
