Building the College Hub

This is the story of how the first Passivhaus building in Oxford University, the Kellogg College Hub, was built. A timelapse camera recorded the whole process, starting on 30 August 2016 with the demolition of the existing sheds right through to the official opening on 2 May 2017.

The Hub was created to be the heart of the College, home to the Common Room and Café, and open to all College members. Its environmentally friendly Passivhaus design results in exceptionally low energy demand allied with the highest standards of occupant comfort.
