Introducing our new Junior Research Fellows

Kellogg College is pleased to announce that it has appointed four new Junior Research Fellows.

Bethany Shinkins is an NIHR Research Fellow in the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences whose main research interest is in improving the clinical utility of diagnostic research.

Jenny Chan is a Departmental Lecturer in Sociology and China Studies at the School of Interdisciplinary Area Studies and is currently writing her first book, provisionally entitled Dying for an iPhone.

Lester Barnsley is a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Magnetic Array Design at the Department of Engineering Science and is working on the design and optimization of magnet arrays for use in magnetic drug targeting applications.

Iris Choi is a Research Engineer in the Department of Engineering Science and is currently seeking out promising quantum technologies and suitable industrial partners for early commercialisation.

Junior Research Fellows are employed by the University of Oxford in a research role.  They apply to College when the fellowships are advertised and are interviewed by a panel comprising the Senior Tutor and other Fellows. Read more biographies of our Fellows via the people finder.
