Florian Klimm has been elected as the new President of Kellogg’s Middle Common Room, representing all of our students. During his one year tenure, Florian will work with the MCR Committee to continue to make Kellogg a welcoming and supportive environment for both full-time and part-time students.

Florian is originally from Germany and came to Kellogg in 2014, when he started studying for a DPhil in Systems Approaches to Biomedical Science.

Of his election as MCR President, Florian said:
‘This will be my third year at Kellogg and I am greatly looking forward to it! We are an extremely diverse student population and this opens up a lot of opportunities to meet people from various backgrounds, whether social, academic, or professional. As MCR President I want to help to establish an environment that enables everybody to experience this diversity. Whether over our great dinners, seminars, or MCR parties, the encounters between part-time students with professional experience and eager full-timers always provides the chance for thought-provoking discussions.

The upcoming year will be particularly exciting with the completion of our new College Hub. This social space will offer great potential for people to meet with other College members. Since we are a very young college we are less bound by tradition and I invite all Kellogg students to contribute to life and learning at our College, and make the years ahead truly remarkable.’

The new MCR Committee comprises:

Claire Macht – Vice-President
Cannelle Gueguen-Tail – Green Officer
Tammo Rukat – Welfare and Equality Officer
Raees Chowdhury – Academic Officer
Max Schleich – Sports Officer
Sarah Griffin – Communications Officer
Robin Ankele – Social Secretary
Rivers Gambrell – International Students Representative
