Kellogg members at the heart of new Oxford-Brazil EBM Alliance4 July 2019
Kellogg members are at the heart of the Oxford-Brazil EBM Alliance, a new international alliance that aims to foster the development of leaders in the field of evidence-based medicine research and its teaching in Brazil and establish a scholarship for academic training on EBHC courses.
Enderson Miranda (DPhil Evidence Based Health Care) and Luis Fontes (MSc EBHC Systematic Reviews) have teamed up with Kellogg Supernumerary Fellow Dr David Nunan (Senior Research Fellow and Departmental Lecturer in the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Director of the Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching EBHC) to form a partnership with The University of Oxford’s Department of Evidence Based Health Care and Enderson’s and Luis’ respective departments in Brazil, the Faculdade de Medicina de Petrópolis (FMP-FASE) and Escola Paulista de Medicina (EPM) at the Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)
Dr Nunan commented: “I am proud to be part this exciting initiative, not least because Brazil holds a special place in my heart… My hope is that our Alliance facilitates EBM teaching and learning, fosters future leaders, and ultimately benefits patients and healthcare systems throughout Brazil.”
