Martim Brandao is a Post-Doctoral Research Assistant at the Oxford Robotics Institute, Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford. His research focuses on artificial intelligence algorithms for mobile robots. In particular he is interested in planning and perception problems related to robot locomotion, and their intersections with optimization, search, machine learning, human cognitive and movement research, and ethics.

Previously he was a postdoc at Waseda University, Japan, where he also did his PhD in planning and perception algorithms for legged robot locomotion.
