Alejandra is currently a Research Lecturer in the Oxford e-Research Centre (OeRC), Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford. She has a degree in Computer Science from Universidad Nacional de Rosario, Argentina and a PhD from Queen’s University Belfast, UK. Before joining the University of Oxford, she worked at University College London in projects involving knowledge management of cancer data.

Her research involves applying Computer Science methodologies to  develop models, methods and software tools for data science and innovative scholarly communication along the research lifecycle, in support of reproducible methods for data-intensive sciences. Her main areas of work are software engineering, data science and knowledge management.

She is also a Software Sustainability Institute Fellow (https://software.ac.uk/fellows/alejandra-gonzalez-beltran) and is interested in promoting best practices for producing research software.
