I am a statistician at the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, where my research interests include: statistical computing, big data, prognostic modelling, meta-analysis methods, and chronic disease epidemiology. I am also a Deputy Module Co-ordinator and Tutor on the Statistical Computing for R and Stata and Essential Medical Statistics modules for the MSc in Evidence-Based Health Care (Medical Statistics).
My current areas of research include: the application of competing risks methods to predict cardiovascular and cancer mortality in type 2 diabetes, predicting decline of kidney function in patients with chronic kidney disease, and temporal changes in the placebo arm of surgical randomised controlled trials.
