Research Member of Common Room

Medical Statistician / Research Associate

I gained a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Heidelberg. I have a background in nutritional, ageing and cancer epidemiology. The focus of my previous research has been mainly on the role that vitamin D plays in the elderly, particularly for the risk of cancer.

At the moment I collaborate in different projects that mainly have something to do with the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases.

I am also a member of the teaching staff for the modules Essential Statistics and Introduction to Study Design and Research Methods.

I have a large experience with systematic reviews and meta-analysis, as well as with the analysis of large epidemiological cohort data and individual participant meta-analysis.
