Lorna is the Clinical Research Manager for the NIHR Oxford Biomedical Research Centre (OxBRC) a partnership between the University of Oxford and Oxford University Hospitals, funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). Lorna has an Honours degree in Sociology, Masters in Public Health and Health Services Research and was awarded a Scholarship by the Royal College of Nursing to complete her doctorate at the University of Warwick. She has extensive experience of Health Services Research having worked in the field for nearly twenty years. She has held research posts at the University of Aberdeen, Royal College of Nursing Institute, National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit, Cancer Research UK Primary Care Education Research Group, University of Oxford and Picker Institute Europe. She joined the OxBRC from the Thames Valley and South Midland Clinical Research network where she worked closely with researchers across the University of Oxford, providing expertise on research governance and funding matters concerning NIHR Clinical Research Portfolio studies across Thames Valley and further afield.
