Department for Continuing Education

MA (Oxon), PhD (Keele)

I have worked in the University’s administration since 1989, spending the first few years in the Central Administration, then from 1994 to 2000, as Administrator and Faculty Board Secretary in Modern Languages, before becoming the first Secretary of the Humanities Division in 2000. I joined Continuing Education in August 2007. I am a trustee and Deputy Chair of SEEC, a consortium of higher education providers concerned with developing credit accumulation and transfer and promoting lifelong learning.

In my previous incarnation, I worked at the Natural Environment Research Council, and before that on the editorial staff of Nature.
