Tom is a senior postdoctoral researcher within the Department of Chemistry.  He is interested in cell signalling, with a particular focus on the dynamic regulation, interactions and signal transduction of cell surface receptors involved in thrombosis and cancer.  His interdisciplinary research combines mass spectrometry with biochemical and cell biological approaches.

Tom obtained his BSc in Pharmacology from King’s College London, and spent a year in drug discovery at GlaxoSmithKline. He obtained his PhD in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge, undertaking research funded by the BBSRC and Pfizer, based at the Babraham Institute.  He then carried out postdoctoral research within the Bristol Platelet Group at the University of Bristol, funded by the British Heart Foundation.
