Grade 4: £21,220 – £24,565 p.a.
Kellogg College is one of Oxford University’s largest and most international graduate colleges and is the University’s leading college for students reading for degrees on a part-time basis.
Kellogg College seeks to recruit a friendly and energetic Deputy Restaurant Manager. An interesting and varied role, duties will include deputising for the Restaurant Manager in managing the College’s food service team and ensuring the provision of the highest standards of service across a wide range of food and beverage products whilst maintaining a service environment that is professional and welcoming at all times.
The role will involve close liaison with all departments across the College, and in particular will liaise frequently with the catering, hospitality and events teams. The role will also involve day-to-day contact with students, staff and visitors within the College, and the development of good working relationships both within the College and with external visitors and guests will be essential.
The College catering operation is busiest during University term times with quieter times in August, over Easter and when the College closes down over Christmas and New Year. Shifts will vary to cover the hours of business and include weekend and evening work. This is an annualised hours contract. Your hours will be worked flexibly and according to the needs of the College. Your weekly working pattern will be agreed in advance.
The role requires a hands-on approach, with the ability to manage a varied workload under minimal supervision and a willingness to work flexibly as part of the wider team.
