Head of IT
Grade 9: £47,263 – £54,765 p.a.
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Head of IT to take up a new position running and directing the IT function of Kellogg College.
The role is to manage the strategic and operational delivery of the IT services and infrastructure, including the ongoing enhancement programme and support services, effectively and professionally, ensuring that the College’s infrastructure and services are aligned with and support its strategic objective of being a leading global provider of post-graduate virtual learning, and engagement and improved business processes.
You will oversee the administration and delivery of all aspects of the College’s IT Service including budgeting, planning, prioritisation, organising, resourcing, leading, controlling and reporting programme activities, system and information security and risk management, and driving the IT strategic planning. You will have direct line management of support and project team members, and be responsible for relevant internal and external supplier management.
The scope of the IT Service covers a wide range of strategic and support functions, including IT governance and direction-setting, management and delivery of Kellogg’s IT development projects, as well as a spectrum of IT related services, including Audio Visual, Web Development, Programme/Project Management, front line IT Help Desk and Infrastructure Support and Maintenance.
Kellogg College has identified a Digital Strategy seeking to ensure that its IT infrastructure and services are reliable and robust, and able to support and enable Kellogg’s part-time student community to interact and engage (with each other and with the College), whilst they are not present in Oxford.
To be considered at shortlisting, you will have proven experience in delivering a successful programme of IT activities within a complex, multi stakeholder organisation, with special focus on the ability to engage, develop and collaborate with outsourced partners, team members and the wider business, building trust and confidence, especially at senior levels. You should be able to demonstrate significant and positive business outcomes from multi-disciplinary projects delivered in previous roles and have demonstrable budget, portfolio and stakeholder management skills, alongside experience of working within project management methodologies. You will be passionate about understanding your customers and keen to seek out opportunities for continuous improvement to provide them with the best possible customer experience.
