Beer Tasting and Talk
Join us for a beer tasting and talk led by Alex Smith of Purity Brewing. During the evening you will be offered the opportunity to sample six different beers from Purity. The beers will be suitably matched with a light bite (not a main course) by our Executive Chef Jon Wilmot. We aim for this to be a very interactive session throughout, followed by a raffle. Prizes to be won include t-shirts, multipacks of Purity beers and glasses.
Purity Brewing Company is an award winning craft brewery established in 2005. Based on a working farm in the heart of the beautiful Warwickshire countryside, Purity is committed to brewing beer with a conscience. The brewery practices are designed to be environmentally friendly and wherever possible – for example in the case of their wetland system – environmentally enriching.
Purity Brewing was recognised as ‘Insider-Made in the UK’ Sustainable Manufacturer of the Year 2015.
• It uses the latest heat and steam exchange technology to reduce energy consumption.
• Spent grain goes to the cattle, yeast to the pigs, and hops become fertiliser.
• The local wetland system naturally recycles all waste water from the brewing process.
Director of brewing Flo Vialan was named Brewer of the Year 2016-17 at the All-Party Parliamentary Beer Group Beer Awards.
There will be approximately 200 ml of each beer so you can expect to drink just over two pints during the evening. Light bites with the beers will include meat, cheese and savoury dishes. Let us know if you have a specific dietary requirement and we will try to cater for it.
Places are limited to just 40 to ensure the best experience for everyone so reserve your place via the University Store.

The cost for this fun and informative evening is £15 for Kellogg students, £18 for Kellogg staff and Fellows, and £20 for others (including guests of Kellogg students, staff and Fellows.)
