About the Bynum Tudor Fellowship

The Bynum Tudor Fellowship is named after the late Bynum Tudor, a great friend of the College. It aims to establish new approaches to sharing, integrating and developing professional and academic knowledge. The Fellows are dynamic and innovative thinkers from the worlds of politics, education, business, and the professions, who as members of the College are able to influence the extent and quality of Oxford’s involvement in the world of professional learning. The first Fellow was appointed in 2004. Previous holders include Nobel Prize Winner Archbishop Desmond Tutu; UN Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN Women, Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka; film producer Lord David Puttnam; Chairman of L’Oréal UK and Ireland, Lady Sylvia Jay; Chairman of Motorola, Sir David Brown; Dr Marcy McCall MacBain, Director of the McCall MacBain Foundation; and, most recently, Lord Bilimoria, Founder and Chairman of Cobra Beer and Chancellor of the University of Birmingham.
