Creative Writing Seminar

Helen Mort will speak on Failsafe: the value of ‘getting it wrong’.

All are welcome to attend this seminar hosted by the Kellogg College Centre for Creative Writing. The Seminar Convenor is Dr Clare Morgan, Director of the Master of Studies in Creative Writing.

Refreshments will be served from 17:00. The seminar will begin at 17:30.

No booking is necessary for the seminar but please note that College members who wish to attend the Guest Night Dinner following this event, must book for that. When booking the dinner, mention that you have an interest in creative writing so that you can be seated with students and Fellows who share this interest.

Helen Mort

Helen Mort was born in Sheffield. She has published two poetry collections with Chatto & Windus, ‘Division Street’ (2013) and ‘No Map Could Show Them’ (2016). She won the Jerwood Aldeburgh Prize for best first collection in 2014. Helen has a volume of short stories forthcoming from Wrecking Ball and a novel forthcoming from Chatto. She is a core creative tutor on Oxford’s MSt in Creative Writing. She also teaches at Manchester Metropolitan University.
