Kellogg College is delighted to welcome Birmingham Conservatoire Ellington Orchestra for a special concert in aid of the new Kellogg College Hub.

In this unique concert, the critically acclaimed Birmingham Conservatoire Ellington Orchestra will play Duke Ellington classics such as Ko Ko, Happy Go Lucky Local, Rockin’ in Rhythm and Take the A Train, followed by a rare performance of Stan Tracey’s Genesis Suite. Stan Tracey CBE (1926-2013) was the “house pianist” for Ronnie Scott’s for many years and a stalwart of the British Jazz scene. His writing for Big Band was very much influenced and inspired by that of Ellington and this concert provides the opportunity to hear the two composers side by side.

Doors open at 19:00 and the concert starts at 19:30. Guests will receive a glass of complimentary sparkling wine/soft drink on arrival and a cash bar will be operating during the evening.
