I hold a Cruttenden Scholarship.
What subject are you studying?
I’m doing a DPhil in English Local History, part-time, at the Department for Continuing Education.
What research have you recently undertaken?
I’m studying the impact of the work of the London City Mission, among the poor, between 1835 and 1914.
What does the scholarship mean to you?
The scholarship is an important form of recognition for my work. It gives me a sense that it is valuable and worthwhile, which is a great gift to be given.
What do you value about being a student at Kellogg College?
Kellogg College has an understanding of the challenges of part-time study. I am a professional with a career, and I don’t live in Oxford, but Kellogg is my home from home where I feel especially welcome and supported.
