Book launch 'Eve Bites Back: An Alternative History of English Literature'
DateWednesday 19 October 2022
Kellogg is delighted to host a celebration of the publication of Anna Beer’s ‘smart, funny and highly readable’ (A. L. Kennedy) new book.
Eve Bites Back (Oneworld Publications) explores the lives and work of eight women across five centuries – all game-changers, ground-breakers, or simply brilliant writers in their particular genre. Each chosen work is fascinating in its own right but put together the chapters reveal intriguing patterns: an alternative literary history emerges. Anna not only places some neglected literary gems and fascinating lives centre stage but asks readers to revisit the achievement of individuals and works we think we already know. Read Eve Bites Back and you may not think about Jane Austen in the same way again!
This is an in-person event, booking is required. Refreshments will be served from 5.30pm in the Kellogg Hub.
You will have the opportunity to purchase a signed copy of Eve Bites Back. Cash and card payments will be accepted.
Please email email@example.com if you are unable to attend after booking since numbers are limited.
