Together we thrive: fostering inclusion at College and the wider university

Join us for an interactive session focussed on fostering an inclusive and supportive student community at the University of Oxford and your College.
One of the things we love most about Kellogg is its large and diverse community, and we’re committed to creating a safe and respectful environment where everyone can thrive. This session provides an engaging overview of equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), exploring how these values shape both academic and social life.
Through thought-provoking group discussions and real-world scenarios, you’ll dive into EDI-related challenges and learn how we can work together to build a welcoming space for all.
Open to freshers and current students, this is a valuable chance to connect and learn more about fostering an inclusive environment to make a positive difference!
Speakers/session leaders:
Tim Soutphommasane is Chief Diversity Officer at the University of Oxford and Professor of Practice in Human Rights and Political Theory.
Professor Karla Miller, Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Associate Head of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion at the Medical Sciences Division.
Pri Drummond is Kellogg’s Assistant Academic Administrator. She organises events designed to enhance the student experience and progress meetings for on-course students. She also deals with scholarships, awards, and financial assistance grants, and manages Kellogg’s disability fund.
