Cultural historian and museum director Steven Parissien examines how the power of wishful thinking, of re-branding or simply of deliberate misdirection or falsification can persuade us to think differently about our cultural and built heritage – and how Fake News is rarely Good News in culture as well as politics.
About Steven Parissien:
Steven is a departmental lecturer in Architectural History and Kellogg fellow. He has worked as a senior manager and CEO in the heritage, arts and education sectors for over 30 years, including six years at Yale University’s Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art in London. He holds undergraduate and doctoral degrees from University of Oxford.
