David Hunt is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Experimental Psychology and a Researcher at the Oxford Healthcare Improvement centre at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. His main research focus is on increasing psychological safety in healthcare settings. In particular, the role of psychological safety in clinical decision-making. He completed his PhD in 2018 at the School of Experimental Psychology, University of Bristol, exploring the role of disgust in influencing visual and tactile perception. Alongside his PhD, David published on topics such as intergroup conflict, group living, and stigma.
Outside of academia, David has experience of working on large-scale central-government-funded public services projects in social welfare law and education, using mixed methods to co-design interventions and assess impact.
