Dr David Thorstad

Fellow, Junior Research Fellow

David is a postdoctoral research fellow in philosophy at the Global Priorities Institute. David’s primary research interests lie in epistemology, decision theory and the philosophy of mind. David’s research focuses on questions about bounded rationality and norms of inquiry. At the Global Priorities Institute, David asks how insights from bounded rationality can be applied to global priorities research.

David received a PhD in philosophy from Harvard University, and a BA in mathematics and philosophy from Haverford College. David has been a visitor at Oxford University, the London School of Economics, and the Australian National University.
