Richard is a Senior Clinical Research Fellow at the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences (NDS) and Junior Research Fellow at Kellogg, where his research focus is Evidence-Based Pathology, as well as being part of the Innovate UK PathLAKE Project.

Richard is also Consultant Pathologist working at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where he he specialises in the diagnostic pathology of urological cancers. Richard teaches Pathology to year two medical students at Pembroke College and clinical students on the Laboratory Medicine Course in NDCLS.

Richard was an Academic Clinical Fellow in Oxford where he completed the MSc in Evidence-Based Health Care at Kellogg College and a research MD with UCL. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists (Histopathology).
