Join Julie Summers and Dr Clare Morgan for this year’s International Women’s Day talk, convened by the Centre for Creative Writing.
About the speaker
Julie Summers has written fourteen works of non-fiction. Her most recent British Vogue: The biography of an Icon (2024) was published by Weidenfeld to critical acclaim. Julie’s best-selling book Jambusters inspired the ITV drama series Home Fires, which ran for two seasons in 2015-16 and had a regular audience of over six million. Dressed for War (Simon & Schuster, 2020), is the biography of the wartime editor of British Vogue, Audrey Withers, and is in development as a drama series. From October 2024 she is Writer in Residence at Kellogg College and working on her next book, which focuses on the women of D-Day.
