The Hub

In the light of the current Coronavirus pandemic, the Hub Café is currently offering a take-away service to College members only.

Please respect social distancing measures and follow instructions and guidance on signage to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for you and other users. Please refer to the Kellogg and Covid-19 pages for full details.

Oxford University’s first Passivhaus certified building.

Housing both our Common Room and the Hub Café, the Passivhaus ‘green’ standard is supported by the College’s eco-friendly philosophy: the majority of the packaging used is compostable; our coffee is from the local coffee company, Jericho Coffee Traders, who support coffee growing farms, charities and cooperatives in Africa and South America; our tea is Rainforest Alliance certified and we stock a range of Fairtrade products; our ingredients are sourced locally, where possible; and we use biodegradable packaging for our products.

The Hub Café

Set in our tranquil grounds in leafy North Oxford, the Hub Café is the perfect place to meet with friends and colleagues.  The café serves light lunches, sweet treats and snacks, as well as a range of hot drinks. Take look at our special offers below.

This menu is available for take-away during lunch service and click and collect only during dinner service.

Starting Monday 15 February, the Hub Café will be accepting orders for recipe boxes, containing ingredients to cook your own delicious meal at home. 

Collections will start at noon on Monday 22 February.

Unfortunately, at present, these boxes are only available to College members.

Each box contains:

  • 1 recipe card with allergen information
  • Ingredients for 2 portions
  • Spices will be premixed if required (ingredients such as cooking oil, lemon juice, etc. are not supplied – please check when ordering if not sure)

How to order:

Email stating the recipes you would like and your preferred collection date and time.

Deadline for ordering: Last day for ordering, for pick-up the following week, is 12 noon on Thursday the week before.

Collection: is from 12 noon on Mondays until the end of the day on Thursdays (see opening hours above).

There is wheelchair access via the side entrance door (the one facing Banbury Road) and there are two disabled toilets, one of which has baby changing facilities.

The Hub is accessible 24 hours a day. It continues to operate outside term-time and when the Dining Hall is closed but not during College closures. Food, snacks, and hot and cold drinks are constantly available via coin-operated vending machines.

The doors remain unlocked during the Café’s opening hours. When the Café is closed, the Hub can be accessed via the side entrance door (the one facing Banbury Road) using a University card.

The Hub Café is cashless, i.e. only credit and debit cards (excluding Amex) or a University Card if you have a Upay account, can be used for payment.
