This event explores what feedback really is, and what it should be.

Led by Royal Literary Fund Fellow Katy Regan, the session reframes feedback not as criticism designed to undermine confidence, but as a constructive and generous gift that can help your work develop. Katy will look at how to place yourself in the best emotional and mental position to receive feedback well, including questioning your motivations for asking for it in the first place.

The session will also consider feedback as one opinion among many, and the importance of maintaining ownership of your ideas. Drawing on her own experience as a writer, Katy Regan will share honest reflections, practical dos and don’ts, and key lessons learned from receiving feedback across different stages of her career.

This is an online event and free to attend.
