Generative AI in Academic Study: Thinking Better, Not Less (In-person)

This session will explore how students can use generative AI as a learning partner rather than a shortcut. Drawing on her background in education and her work at Oxford’s AI & Machine Learning Competency Centre, Kelly Webb-Davies will introduce practical frameworks for working with AI to support academic practice, critical thinking, and responsible use. Students will leave with a clear understanding of when AI enhances their work and when to avoid it.
