Why do there still exist persistent and systemic gender disparities in healthcare? And what are the economic and medical consequences of misdiagnosis in women’s health?
Join us for this special workshop with expert speakers in health and economics to examine the reasons for and costs of persistent gender disparities in healthcare. Despite women generally living longer, they often experience a lower quality of life due to widespread issues like the dismissal of their symptoms, longer diagnostic delays, and the misattribution of their pain to psychological causes.
This event will delve into the economic and medical consequences of the healthcare gender gap, exploring why conditions common in women are frequently misdiagnosed, and how these failures translate into significant personal and societal costs.
Limited to 30 participants, this is a unique opportunity to engage in a thought-provoking dialogue with students, researchers, and professionals who are passionate about healthcare equity and want to drive meaningful change.
