The Hub
Oxford University’s first Passivhaus-certified building.
Housing both our Common Room and the Hub Café, the Passivhaus ‘green’ standard is supported by the College’s eco-friendly philosophy: the majority of the packaging used is compostable; our coffee is from the local coffee company, Jericho Coffee Traders, who support coffee growing farms, charities and cooperatives in Africa and South America; our tea is Rainforest Alliance certified and we stock a range of Fairtrade products; our ingredients are sourced locally, where possible; and we use biodegradable packaging for our products.
The Hub Café
Set in our tranquil grounds in leafy North Oxford, the Hub Café is the perfect place to meet with friends and colleagues. The café serves light lunches, sweet treats and snacks, as well as a range of hot drinks. Take a look at our special offers below.

Monday – Friday: 08.00am – 5.00pm
- 8.00am – 10.30am Breakfast/pastries
- 12.00pm – 2.00pm Lunch: panini/sandwiches/soup & light bites
- 2.00pm – 3.00pm Traybakes/cakes & snacks
Saturday & Sunday: 09:00-15:00
- 9.00am – 10.30am Breakfast/Pastries
- 10.00am – 1.00pm – Brunch/ sandwiches / paninis and light bites
- 1.00pm – 3.00pm – Tray bakes, cakes and snacks

There is wheelchair access via the side entrance door (the one facing Banbury Road) and there are two disabled toilets, one of which has baby changing facilities.
The Hub is accessible 24 hours a day. It continues to operate outside term-time and when the Dining Hall is closed but not during College closures.
The doors remain unlocked during the Café’s opening hours. When the Café is closed, the Hub can be accessed via the side entrance door (the one facing Banbury Road) using a University card.
The Hub Café is cashless, i.e. only credit and debit cards (excluding Amex) or a Kellogg University Card if you have a Upay account, can be used for payment.
