Dr Helena Rodríguez Caro receives Spanish Researchers in the UK blog prize

Kellogg Junior Research Fellow Dr Helena Rodríguez Caro has received second prize in the Society of Spanish Researchers in the United Kingdom’s VI Blog Contest, for her article More than just the sperm! A new role for the male in pregnancy.

Published in July 2022, Helena‘s article, More than just the sperm! A new role for the male in pregnancy outlines the results of her DPhil, undertaken whilst at the Nuffield Department of Women’s & Reproductive Health. The article explains Helena’s research into new ways to improve the implantation of the embryo during IVF, and the importance of Seminal Fluid Extracellular Vesicles (SF-EVs) in the process.
