Kellogg Alumni Publish New Books
We are delighted to celebrate the recent publishing successes of two Kellogg alumni, whose new books span historical fantasy and contemporary scholarship.
Kellogg alumna Jennifer Mandula (Education, 2014) has announced a forthcoming novel, The Geomagician, to be published by Penguin Random House (Del Rey UK) in April 2026. The novel reimagines the life of the Victorian palaeontologist Mary Anning in a richly imagined historical fantasy. It follows a fossil hunter who dreams of becoming a geomagician in a world that excludes women from scientific recognition, until the discovery of a baby pterodactyl changes everything. Blending science, magic and romance, the book explores ambition, belonging and the cost of being recognised for one’s brilliance.

We also congratulate Kellogg alumna Lena Rose (Migration Studies, 2012) on the publication of Palestinian Evangelicals and Global Evangelicalism. An Ethnography of Unequal Encounter, published by Oxford University Press. Drawing on ethnographic research, the book examines the lived experiences of Palestinian evangelicals and their complex position within global evangelical networks. It offers important insights into Christian Zionism, power and theology, and contributes to wider conversations about inequality and the decolonisation of the study of global Christianity.
We are proud to see our alumni making contributions through their writing, and we wish both authors every success with their publications. Order Palestinian Evangelicals and Global Evangelicalism.
