Kellogg Student named Barbara Cox Woman of the Year 2025

July 1, 2025

Daveena Saranna, MSc candidate in Sustainable Urban Development, has been awarded the 2025 Barbara Cox Woman of the Year Award in recognition of her leadership, creativity and commitment to gender equity across the automotive and sustainability sectors.

The Barbara Cox Woman of the Year Award honours women who exemplify excellence, innovation and leadership across the automotive sector. It is named after Barbara Cox, a pioneering business leader and former Director of Cox Enterprises.

Daveena has just completed the first year of her degree, after receiving the award at the Women with Drive event hosted by Cox Automotive Europe last month at the Collaboration Centre in Bruntingthorpe, Leicestershire.

As the EV Campaigns Manager at Green.TV Media, she leads the Top Women in EV platform, which promotes female representation across the sector. She has delivered campaigns at major events, including Everything Electric, EZOO and Blenheim Palace, and has worked with the England Men’s and Mixed Netball Association. In addition to the award, Daveena will receive £5,000 to support her personal development.

We warmly congratulate Daveena on this outstanding achievement and look forward to following her future endeavours.

I’m incredibly honoured and shocked to receive this recognition. The support I’ve had throughout my career from colleagues and mentors has been instrumental. I believe this award also honours those working every day to build a more inclusive and purpose-led industry. Daveena Saranna, MSc in Sustainable Urban Development
