Supporting lifelong learning and workforce development at Kellogg
This week it is National Apprenticeship Week 2025. It provides a chance to celebrate and promote the opportunities and contributions that apprenticeships provide to businesses and communities.
National Apprenticeship Week 2025 also allows Kellogg College to reflect proudly on its ongoing commitment to apprenticeship programmes, which play a vital role in shaping our skilled workforce and supporting the College’s ethos of lifelong learning. With eight apprentices currently engaged in roles across a diverse range of fields, including HR, hospitality, finance, and IT, the College seeks to provide meaningful opportunities for both personal and professional growth.
Apprenticeships are an integral part of Kellogg College’s strategy to foster a culture of development, offering individuals the chance to earn while they learn. Apprentices gain invaluable, hands-on experience, working alongside seasoned professionals, while also working towards nationally recognised qualifications. The College benefits from their learning and grows an increasingly skilled workforce with improved rates of staff retention and satisfaction.
The College’s HR Manager, Jasmine Buckley, said, “By supporting apprenticeships, Kellogg College is cultivating a skilled workforce that aligns with our commitment to lifelong learning. These programmes benefit both the apprentices, who acquire valuable skills and qualifications, and the College, which can develop talent tailored to its future needs.”
National Apprenticeship Week is a time to celebrate the achievements of apprentices and recognise the value of these programmes in shaping the future of the workforce. It also takes us to the heart of Kellogg College’s core purpose: to foster a culture of lifelong learning at Oxford, while creating an environment that promotes both the academic and personal development of all College members.
