Dr Jinke Chang

Dr Jinke Chang is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Engineering Science at Oxford. He has an interdisciplinary background in both medical and mechanical sciences. He holds a PhD in Medical Science and Engineering from University College London (UCL), as well as Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering.
His research focuses on the development of intelligent medical devices and implants-such as hearing and dental systems-by integrating advanced materials, bioinspired design, advanced manufacturing, and AI-enhanced functionality. He works closely with clinical surgeons, scientists, and industry partners to create high-performance implants for next-generation medical interventions. Dr Chang is also an academic entrepreneur in the field of advanced biofabrication and medical technology innovation, with multiple patents, spinouts, and biomedical ventures translating his research into clinical applications and global commercial impact.
