Nicholas DeVito is a postdoctoral researcher and the Research Integrity Lead at the Bennett Institute for Applied Data Science. His primary research interest is as a metascientist examining how policies at the organisational, national, and international levels can improve how research is planned, conducted, reviewed and reported. His doctoral thesis focused on regulations around transparency in clinical trial  research, based on the TrialsTracker project. He continued to work in this area alongside projects examining the impact of open science on reproducibility, addressing the citation of retracted research, improving code sharing practice, and creating AI tools to support research integrity. Dr. Devito received his DPhil at Kellogg College, University of Oxford and also holds degrees from the Yale School of Public Health and Cornell University. He was a 2023 winner of the UKRN Dorothy Bishop Prize, a co-winner of the 2023 HealthSense Award, and a shortlisted finalised for the 2022 Einstein Foundation Early Career Award for Promoting Quality in Research.
