Ninu is a Visiting Fellow in the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences. She joined the Global Centre on Healthcare and Urbanisation as the centre administrator in Dec 2025. Before joining GCHU, she worked briefly as a research facilitator at the Dept. of Computer Science, University of Oxford.
Ninu completed her Ph. D in Molecular Biology in 2011 from Amrita University, India with a research fellowship from Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). She did her postdoctoral research in University of Georgia, USA (2012-2013), Augusta University, USA (2014-2015) and Queen’s University, Belfast (2016-2019).
She joined the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences at the University of Oxford in 2019, where she conducted innovative research in prostate cancer. She has worked on research projects funded by National Institute of Health, British Heart Foundation, Norwegian Research Council and Rosetrees Trust. Her research work in medical sciences has contributed to over 20 peer reviewed publications, and she has authored a book chapter.
