Research Fellow
Oxford Institute on Population Ageing
Pamela Irwin graduated with a DPhil (PhD) in Sociology from the University of Oxford in 2016. After completing post-doctoral research in Canada, she has contributed to the work of the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing as a Research Fellow. While her doctoral thesis, and a later scoping review focused on older women, she has also published research on older men, and more recently, policy and care practices in home settings and long-term care facilities in Canada. She continues to be interested in issues around resilience, ageing, gender, and rurality.
