Dr Xiao Gu is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Computational Health Informatics (CHI) Lab, University of Oxford, working with Professor David Clifton. His research centers on wearable and ambient intelligence for digital health, developing scalable, accessible, and generalizable solutions for real-world healthcare applications. He is also a honorary researcher at Oxford University Hospital. Before, he obtained his PhD degree at the Hamlyn Centre/Department of Computing in 2023, and MRes degree (Distinction & Dean’s Prize) in Medical Robotics and Image Guided Intervention in 2019, both from Imperial College London. Prior to that, he obtained his BEng degree (Honors Student & National Scholarship) in Electronic Engineering from Fudan University in 2018. He has authored over 30 publications in top-tier venues across biomedical engineering and deep learning. His work has been recognized with multiple awards, including CVPR competition prizes and a Silver Medal at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions.
