Events at Kellogg

There is a full programme of events throughout each term, details of which can be found via the Events Calendar. All members of Kellogg College are encouraged to attend any of the events in College to get to know fellow members of the community and to participate in College life.

Each term, students and researchers are encouraged to showcase their work at the Colloquium, an informal seminar series convened by our Junior Research Fellow, David Johnson. Kellogg’s seven Research Centres also host seminars each term, alongside special lectures and seminars convened by College members throughout the academic year.

As well as lectures and seminars, there is also a wide programme of social events ranging from the annual Festive Tree Decorating to our popular Burns’ Night Ceilidh. Each year, the Academic Office organises a series of events called ‘Welcome Weeks’ designed for new and returning students to help enable integration both into life at Kellogg and at the University of Oxford. Events in this series range from walking tours of Oxford to informal drinks receptions with Fellows and College staff.

Dining in College is an important part of life at Kellogg. There is no high-table so we all sit and eat together, meaning that all members of College frequently meet each other to share ideas, knowledge and experience. There are a number of drinks receptions and formal dinners each term, as well as our popular College lunches – some of which are themed!
