Kellogg alumna receives prestigious Florence Nightingale Foundation Scholarship

May 17, 2023

Congratulations to Kellogg alumna Dr Marion Waite (DPhil Education, 2022) who was recently awarded the prestigious Florence Nightingale Foundation Digital Leadership Scholarship.

The Florence Nightingale Foundation Digital Leadership Scholarship is awarded annually to registered nurses and midwives, through a national competition for projects directly benefiting patients and the profession.

Marion, who holds the post of  Principal Lecturer – Student Experience at the Oxford School of Nursing and Midwifery, Oxford Brookes, received the award for her research on digital health (artificial intelligence, immersive technologies and their role in self-management of type 1 and type 2 diabetes) and its impact on patient outcomes.

Marion told us, ‘The award will enable my research at Oxford Brookes University on digital health to have a wider impact, by supporting me in the implementation of a digital nursing, midwifery, and allied health professions network across two NHS trusts, Oxford Brookes University, and the NIHR Oxford Health Biomedical Research Centre (OHBRC), to help foster research interests and partnerships.’
