Kellogg Fellow Awarded Denis Browne Gold Medal for Paediatric Surgery

Kellogg Fellow, Professor Kokila Lakhoo has been named the 2026 recipient of the prestigious Denis Browne Gold Medal by the British Association of Paediatric Surgeons.

The award recognises outstanding contributions to paediatric surgery worldwide and honours Professor Lakhoo’s transformative impact on clinical leadership, research and education at local, national and international levels.

Established in 1968 in memory of Sir Denis Browne, the medal is one of the highest distinctions in the field. Professor Lakhoo has dedicated her career to improving surgical care and outcomes for children across the globe, and this award marks a fitting recognition of her exceptional commitment and achievement. The medal will be presented at the Association’s 2026 Annual Congress in Manchester.
