Meet Emeritus Professor Timothy J Dixon, new Visiting Fellow and Research Associate at our Global Centre on Healthcare and Urbanisation.

I am delighted and honoured to join Kellogg as Visiting Fellow, and the Global Centre on Healthcare and Urbanisation as Research Associate.

‘I am currently Emeritus Professor at the University of Reading (School of the Built Environment) and I’m looking forward to helping create new research collaborations, and contributing to mentoring/supervision and teaching on the MSc in Sustainable Urban Development. My research background is in urban studies, urban futures, urban regeneration, social sustainability, and sustainable built environments, and I am a qualified chartered surveyor (FRICS). My recent work includes the ADEPT Live Labs project and the Reading 2050 vision I have a strong commitment to tackling climate change and I have recently completed my term as co-chair in the Reading Climate Change Partnership. I am also a STEM Climate Change Ambassador.

‘Much of my work has focused on developing multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research and I’m really looking forward to reconnecting with friends and colleagues at GCHU and the wider University, picking up on some of the ideas we previously explored together in the Future of Cities Programme.’
