New initiative supports sustainable, local food networks
As we prepare to celebrate Green Week—which brings a host of sustainability talks, actions, and celebrations to Kellogg during the first week of Trinity Term—we are pleased to announce our participation in the OxFarmtoFork initiative.
Led by Good Food Oxfordshire, OxFarmtoFork is a short food supply chain initiative that connects local farmers, producers, and suppliers with Oxford colleges and organisations. This partnership helps build a more sustainable and resilient food network across the city. By simplifying the supply chain throughout the Oxfordshire food system, the project empowers producers, enhances food security, and helps institutions source sustainable, local produce that supports both our community and the planet.
We’re proud to join an initiative that promotes sustainable practices and strengthens the local economy. Through OxFarmtoFork, we gain access to locally-grown food from suppliers who meet high sustainability standards, as verified by Good Food Oxfordshire. Our participation also helps reduce carbon emissions, as all pickups and deliveries within the city use e-vehicles and e-cargo bikes.
This partnership reflects Kellogg’s ongoing commitment to responsible sourcing and sustainability as part of our broader environmental goals. We look forward to sharing the benefits of this approach both within College and throughout the wider Oxford community.
