Responding to the Climate emergency in Oxford: Watch the film
In this lecture, hosted by Kellogg Sustainability Fellow, Dr Sandie Byrne, Former Mayor of Oxford and Green Party member, Councillor Craig Simmons, discusses Oxford Council’s response to the global climate emergency and highlights initiatives being rolled out across the city to help promote sustainability and support local ‘green’ projects.
Councillor Simmons has represented the area on the County and then City Council for more than 20 years. He works as an environmental consultant at Anthesis, a locally headquartered, international sustainability consultancy. Craig is a keen cyclist and community campaigner having established the East Oxford Farmer’s Market and Low Carbon East Oxford as well as co-founding the Cowley Road Carnival and local car club.
