Hugo was awarded a DPhil in Neurodegeneration from the University of Oxford in 2014.
Hugo is a Group Leader in the Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics based in the Kavli Institute for Nanoscience Discovery at the University of Oxford. His group research is focused on understanding the early stages of neuronal dysfunction in Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disorders. Using patient-derived stem cell models, he is focused on elucidating the role of lipid dysfunction in these diseases with the goal of identifying novel disease targets that could lead to effective therapeutic interventions to improve patient’s life.
Hugo was awarded a DPhil in Neurodegeneration from the University of Oxford in 2014.
