Dr Anne-Marie Boylan is a Departmental Lecturer and Senior Research Fellow in the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences. She holds a fellowship from the NIHR Oxford Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care and is Principal Investigator on project looking at how online patient feedback is viewed and used in primary care.

A social scientist by background, her research largely focuses on patients’ experiences and how experiential information can be used to improve health services. She conducts research using qualitative methods and various approaches to evidence synthesis.

Anne-Marie is a member of the Centre for Evidence Based Medicine and teaches qualitative research methods on the MSc in Evidence Based Health Care. She is the module coordinator for the Qualitative Research Methods module and co-leads another course on Advanced Qualitative Research Methods. She also supervises DPhil
