Postdoctoral Research Assistant
Oxford Institute of Biomedical Engineering (IBME)
Cristian is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Biomedical Signal Processing & m-Health group, led by Professor Lionel Tarassenko at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering (IBME). He has a background in Computer Science (MSc) and Broadband Networks (MSc), with a specialisation in scheduling algorithms applied to wireless vehicular networks (PhD).
His research focuses on the development of algorithms and wearable based electronic monitoring systems to locate patterns to predict clinical deterioration in hospitalised patients, and for self-management of chronic conditions, such as hypertensive pregnancies, in home-monitoring. The systems incorporate the use of mobile apps, embedded automated decision making and machine learning.
