Dr George Chalhoub is a Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) in Secure Networking by Design at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Oxford, working at the Human Centered Computing group and in collaboration with the EWADA project led by Sir Nigel Shadbolt and Sir Tim Berners-Lee. He obtained his DPhil (PhD) in Cyber Security at the Department of Computer Science, Oxford, and part of the CDT in Cyber Security in 2022, with support from the Information Commissioner’s Office and his MSc in Computer Science from the school of Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Southampton in 2018, in collaboration with Lloyd’s Register. He previously interned at Microsoft Research and Nokia Bell Labs. He is affiliated with Oxford Analytica. His research interests include usable security and privacy, applied cryptography, security implications of LLMs, network security, security of electronic health and medical records (EHR/EMR), high-stakes AI and biometric authentication. He is the co-author of 11 conference paper publications and 1 patent.
